About Cooper Barrett

Cooper Barrett took an unconventional path into real estate brokerage — one that involved building a portfolio to manage, not sell. A Bigfork native and Montana State University graduate, he launched his career in property management after earning his Business Finance degree in 2020, assembling a portfolio that he later merged with Landstar Property Management in 2024, which was subsequently acquired by Select Property Management in 2026.

During his tenure overseeing day-to-day operations at Landstar, Cooper helped grow the portfolio to approximately 450 units spanning commercial, residential, and multi-family properties. In parallel, he participated in the due diligence process for transactions totaling over 100 units, collaborating with agents at Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties before transitioning into brokerage work full time as a licensed real estate salesperson.

Cooper remains actively involved in a 626-unit mixed-use development in Kalispell, MT — a project he has been part of since its inception in 2020. He also owns and operates Ascend Workspace, a coworking space in Kalispell.
